The wheel is free to rotate in the balancing tool, than when it is mounted in the motorcycle. Thanks for watching!

I'm going to change my tires for the first time so this is good info! I have a qustion though - why can't you do the balancing part when the wheel is on the motorcycle? Greetings from Denmark

I got the spoke weights from American Motorcycle tire in Arizona. I bought 2 tires, spoke wheel weights, rim protectors and four tire irons for 200.00 with free shipping. The tires are on the way and I am waiting to mount my tires. I just got my balancing stand so this video is great. Thanks for taking the time to make it. I am thinking about posting my tire change for my vulcan 900

Good video. Balance tip: when mounting the tire on the rim make sure the dot - usually a painted dot of yellow, green or red - is in line with your valve stem. This portion of the tire is less to account for the weight of the valve stem. When mounted correctly you won't need any weights at all 99% of the time. Try and refrain from using those "cool" looking valve caps as they throw off the balance of a tire and is like adding a wheel weight.

You might find them online or on ebay. I wanted to use the weights that fit around the spokes, but I couldn't find them locally.
