No in fact there isn't, we call it helpdesk in Norwegian as well. You could possibly get away with IT kundetjeneste, but who cares, it's one of the great comedy sketches so enjoy.

Excellent Video! I really enjoyed it. If you're interested in these subjects you may also like the work being done by BEWARE OF IMAGES. It's a feature-length, animated documentary about the history of visual representation. The movie explores the intricate relationship between the technology, regulation and social effects of mass media. Its aim is to serve as an educational and entertaining media literacy tool that can be enjoyed by everyone.

Ah, of course there must be a norwegian word for "helpdesk". I believe they just were lazy or didn't care to use it.
But they should have used it. The world shouldn't become many flatened versions of the same english speaking culture.

i love that the word "helpdesk" doesn't have a norwegian translation - just goes to show how computer speak is it's own language...

A.k.a. Medieval Helpdesk. This video makes fun of moderns newbie computer users by illustrating - in a way fully understandable to them - how silly some of their questions are by creating a similar problem in the Middle Ages.
It's from a show called Øystein & Meg (Øystein & I) produced by the Norwegian Broadcasting television channel (NRK) in 2001. The spoken language is Norwegian. It's written by Knut Nærum and performed by Øystein Bache and Rune Gokstad.
NEWS: NRK have uploaded an official version of this video themselves - with more accurate Eng subtitles. It is located at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQHX-SjgQvQLess
