no.. nadal doesnt serve that good at all, the only reason why he might have a "good" serve is because he is a lefty and can put spin on the serve for it to move out of the opponents reach

Great movement and power... I wish I could have that serve. It looks like so much to Sampras.

Yeah... there is a 'heavy' ball coming off that Nadal serve... pounds the court. Interesting.

...Once ball is hit and full pronation reached then the very racquet weight will be "pushing" the arm down. And the arm (from shoulder to elbow segment) just follow the racquet to where she wants to go in a very relaxed way. And not doing so would be blocking the service action and ultimately affecting speed, etc. Maybe that is what ollieparamo meant on that point when he/she mentioned "follow throw". (although his/her attitude is unacceptable). Demo is great in terms of showing elbow high.

I am not sure if it is because you're trying to demonstrate the service clearly on pronation, but in this video I kind of see that the elbow, once the ball is hit, feels tense and doesn't move fluently down to the side of the body as Sampras' serve shows, or Rogers'. I see a great serve action, and all tips have been useful to see.
Only problem I see (again, I am sure it is because at demos we tend to exaggerate to mark the teaching points clearly) is the arm action after pronation- continue

boss toss is way too far behind you
so your bodyweight is shifted to the wrong direction, losing power
pronation was ok but the swing didnt follow all the way through
and what on earth are you doing with your feet, your suppose to land far into the court to raise the bodyweight distribution

Hei! Cool serve You have. It looks like having studied Sampras a lot :) (keeping the elbow high to increase pronation and transfere the energy in the raquet head, the whole movement remembers strongly Sampras).

Rafael Nadal pronates his hand as he is hitting the serve.
Rafael Nadal is going to hit the ball and then right after he hits the ball, his hand is actually going to be facing away from him on the serve.
You can see from this video of my serve my hand pointing away from me after I make contact with the ball.
The ball position is also very key when hitting a big first serve.
Nadal tosses slightly over his head for his serve. Tossing the ball over your head on the first serves allows you the pronate through the ball better rather than slicing around it.
Studying the tapes of Nadal he has learned to flatten out his first serve by fixing both his toss and the way his hand pronates on his serve.
