expiration date for tyres is a tricky thing because each rubber compound ages differently than others and that also depends on the conditions (enviromental,road quality,usage,exposed to the elements parking place or personal garage etc etc.) the tyre is used.
so, the same tyre should have different expiration dates for every different country it will be used. and this alone is impossible because the conditions themselves are not steady and each customer is using them differently.

Ive been servicing tires since I was 9 years old my grandfather started in the 30s I have run tires on my trucks that are 35 years old with no problem this story is bullshit if your tires are inflated properly and you dont drive on them when low on pressure they will last a long time do your reserch on the rubber and tire not the people that sell them and not the ambulance chasing lawyer if you knew how a tire was constructed you would know its not the tire

This is why you should buy from a vendor that moves tires quickly. Buy from tire-rack. This is not the doing of the manufactures but the retailers. I work for a tire plant and we will discard even remotely aged tires. Tires are NOT something you want screw with.
