Don't have a ohmmeter so I cant check. I was thinking it could be the coil it self, I'll try to borrow a friends meter to check it out and will notify you once I do. thanks for the reply

I was looking at two of these today on craigslist. Both for $350, but one is completely in parts and the other doesn't have a title. I like the look of them and may buy one after seeing this video on the finished product.

I used to ride one to high school sometimes as a kid. I had a flawless one and I would ride that thing full throttle all over the place. It was pretty quick, especially the top speed even with stock gearing. The transmission was actually geared for higher speeds so it would really move - unlike all the other smaller Hondas I've ever had.

@1974f4phantom, we used to call those grips "tittie grips" back in the day. I thought they were an accessory. Just going by memory from that time period. Great bike Clymer.
Jul 27, 2010 1974f4phantom Says:
Bob,
Hmmm. . .just noticed. The handgrips are also incorrect. I believe the ones you have may have come stock on the later CB/CL series. Not a big deal, but if you check around you can probably find the correct ones. IMO this is one of the prettiest bikes Honda ever made. Thanks for posting.
Jul 27, 2010 1974f4phantom Says:
Looks to me like this is actually a 1967 model. I have both '65 and '67. The earlier model has a curved intake manifold and the carb mounts slightly off-center. Also, the rear shocks are on backwards.
A little over-the-top on the bench-grinder polishing, but that's typical. Hard to resist polishing until aluminum looks like chrome, but I've found it's best to stop with the coarse black compound and leave a satin finish. These bikes never looked that good even new. Otherwise, lovely bike!

those badges came like that originally on that model, do your home work he obviously did.....
Feb 27, 2010 fluxstringer Says:
Yeah, he has 'em both on backwards ! Not just two left handers like I thought might be the case. Cheez ! I wonder if he did it just to see if anyone would notice. Honda lovers sure would. Someone keep him away from the Super Hawks ! !
Feb 27, 2010 fluxstringer Says:
I used to assemble these out of the crate and test ride them. In the Winter we used to race them inside the shop ! fun to ride is an understatement.
Feb 27, 2010 fluxstringer Says:
Maybe he only has two left handers ? I'll have to look.

The Honda S90 Super 90 was built between the years of 1964 and 1969.
Honda made this bike for the rider who was ready to take the next step up from a smaller Honda Z50 or CT70. Even though the bike had better performace than earlier models the Honda S90 kept the small and lite feel of the slower bikes. These characteristic made the Honda Super 90 a popular second motorcycle in the middle to late sixties.
The single-cylinder overhead-cam, 90cc four-stroke allowed for a decent 60 mile an hour top speed. To compliment the higher performance engine the brakes and suspension where both upgraded.
Overall the Super 90 (S90) was and is still a great riding bike and a great motorcycle for bike collectors.

1967 Honda S90 "Super 90" Sold 1964-69. It had four colors: White; Black; Candy Blue; and Red (the early models had Scarlet Red while the later models had Candy Red). The pre-68 models had silver painted fenders; but those produced after March 1968 had chrome fenders. The pre-68 models had only non-metallic colors; but after March 1968, they were made with candy colors. The engine was a 89cc OHC single cylinder; the transmission was a 4-speed with a manual clutch.
