What if you want to hit a slice serve from the other side ! I am left handed and every time I try that I end up getting a topspin serve ! Any tips ?
Matthew9818 Says:
A wait ! Yeah I get it ! Good video
Matthew9818 Says:
WTF ! So we hit the ball with the other side of the racket to a normal serve right ? Surely you need to do that a different way depending on whoever you hitting it to the right or left and with your right and left hand , depending on which u play with ! Think it,s better to just ask, a actual coach !
ProgressingDownward Says:
Maybe you need to change your grip. I used to use a continental for a flat serve, but I could never make it go in. So, instead I used a western grip, and now I can get my first serve in a lot easier than I could with a continental.
NGOtoriety Says:
Don't worry, I've been playing for a couple of years now and my serve doesn't even go in 30% of the time... when it doesn't, I miss by a fucking mile.
josharcz Says:
you're not the only one,I started playing tennis 1 year from now and i still can't master my serve
imspecial650 Says:
fuck man, my forehand and backhand are good, i can't get my serve in 50 percent of the time. -__-
CinemanProduction Says:
very helpful
theloserlose Says:
This serve is incredibly useful in doubles. Most of the times, I'd rather toss the ball further right (right-handed), just to gain more spin and control.
Matthew9818 Says:
Erzu17 . Wtf ! No these ain't flat serves , u don,t rotate the racquet head for flat ! Lol!
danflood94 Says:
Slice is more effective when your a lefty as you can swing the ball on a righty's backhand
momomo627 Says:
Bad guide.
Darce223 Says:
Often women develop better technique out of necessity, whereas men can get away with muscling the ball a lot more frequently.
TheShannon76 Says:
The guy server is horrible. He looks like a total hack. The chick player is significantly better.
cubeloveme33 Says:
3:06 how is anyone supposed to get that? lol its so fast and so far left lol
DrViciousDelicious Says:
Great Video. Good description of the racquet face on contact.
erzu17 Says:
I think that's a flat serve. Not slice. Although I can be wrong. I honestly haven't seen any of his matches lol.
Kiser153 Says:
yeah i agree, they look similar.
Kiser153 Says:
no, slice-topspin is twist serve
iamdaphnie Says:
is slice serve = twist serve?
deagmomo Says:
uh okay, haven't noticed the different racquets. but it would be easier to show the differences of ball toss and technique with only 1 guy hitting the serves. beginners might also not notice that there are 2 guys hitting different serves.
Kiser153 Says:
thats because they are two different people... you can see at 4:44 that the two different guys are on opposite sides of the court
deagmomo Says:
well, the first thing i noticed was that the guy uses different stances for his slice serve and kick/flat serves. i hope he worked on that. easy to find out how he is going to hit his serve.
demonsngods Says:
Using 4:06 as an example, here are a few tips: 1)Keep on your toes as the guy does when he throws the ball up and feet apart for comfort. 2)When raising the arm, allow the hand holding your racquet to be at or above the height of your head.
