Afroman goes over some basic information about capacitors: Capacitance, voltage ratings and polarity. Once you know what you are doing, you can replace faulty caps on your circuit board and bring your electronics back to life! Don't forget to vote! Panasonic FM series capacitors are usually a go... Also! You're videos are humorously edited! HAHAH

I needed this video soo bad!! I'm so glad it's here~!!!
Ultimaniacx4 Says:
I would've liked to see more on soldering but this was helpful. I would have been entertained even if i wasn't trying to learn =)
Kaio1979 Says:
Great vid. Short & to the point. LOL @ the seppuku :P
GFmanaic Says:
Unplug your appliance from the AC supply, try to turn it on while unplugged for maybe 5-10 seconds. There you go, caps discharged safely.
BlazeX344 Says:
Haha laughed at this :D
Ryuuken24 Says:
That's is a question for google. You need to do some math to discharge certain types of caps, a 60 watts light bulb will discharge caps fairly well, since they can handle 110 volts, the higher the bulb, the better. Best of luck!
uzaiyaro Says:
How can you tell if a capacitor is fully discharged? How can you discharge one if it isn't?
akinorhan5 Says:
i have a 400 volt capasitator in my hand now °______°
markothevrba Says:
So how would one discharge a giant capacitor? I mean to make sure it's not charged?
HugRunner Says:
Some nice information but I wish you showed some tips on the actual soldering as well.
DarkAngel182 Says:
Thanks for the advice, i'm just trying to replace some caps in my old DVD recorder, so this vid has come in very handy.
alchemyx Says:
Great video, you should teach those things in schools, so nobody will be scared of electronics (as I was when in school)
jr540123 Says:
if you leave it unplugged for a few days it should be fine.
HipHopKiller94 Says:
allright I have now replaced all Capacitors in my home.

0:58 is that Arnold Schwarzenegger with a Machine Gun as a Dick ?
Grundalizer Says:
I'd love to see a disassembly of an old computer power supply. I've taken the container off my old 550W one but havn't gone further than that, as the giant caps sort of scare me...and I'm not sure if they are discharged, nor how to get to their underside to discharge them. There are a LOT of great parts in there though, I see transformers, inductors, capacitors, transistors, heatsinks, diodes etc etc, and it'd be sweet to see how to "safely salvage" them by discharging the caps first.
dongvc2003 Says:
nice video man..,
accurateweb Says:
So what is a safe way to discharge a capacitor?
wescoolya Says:
so the caps can have a higher voltage but always have to have the same uf? because i have a cap with the same volts but its 1500 and the original is 1800 so its lower....
MrEzish Says:
Rofl! this is what happens POP i love the freeky picture that was a great tool for me to learn.

Thanks for the video, and sense of humor :)
