This is very true. Watch out though because you can target fixate on a rider just as easily as you can on a rock, railing, or edge of the road. I've seen a number of accidents or close calls where two riders in a row blow a corner or make the same mistake because the second rider was just following the actions of the first rider. It's also easy to get "sucked in" behind a faster rider and start riding outside your personal limits.
