Never tried the BT014's, but I highly recommend the BT016's, I trust my life on those tires and love em to death. The level of grip is unmatched for canyon riding and they really inspire a lot of confidence in a rider when bike is fully leaned over or how fast you can flick the bike in a turn and not have to worry about slippage regardless of most roads surfaces or conditions.

Dude get BT016's (Bridgestone's) on eBay $200 plus free shipping for the front and back tire. I am an avid cornering enthusiast (I love riding twisties or backraods) and regardless of what arguments are out there for chicken strips I have non, and I really love leaning my bike over on some good rubber. Heck just google the tires and see what they are about. I put those on everything: Honda VFR, Yamaha 600R and my Kawi 636, and I have never had any problems with the bike fully leaned over.

MrUrnameis Says:
Some dude on YouTube seriously argued that the chicken strips is the one in the center at 3:50 . But I beg to differ it's the on one on the edge of the tires-caused by a fear of leaning or not riding any twisty roads.

Ha ha, I got cracking on my sidewall, I have had that for a while....waiting for my new BT016's to get here. 13 PSI really...the handling characteristics at 13 PSI must really suck-try leaning that bike at 13 PSI....lol.

if you ask "do I need new tires" there is a reason for that question as a police officer I would say yes you need new tires. when in doubt be safe. Use commen sense, the lack of commen sense is the reason for 98% of road fatalities.

greenmarine5 Says:
well,.... think a little for your self...this is what I say to my self...does it still grip? can I still make immediate turns with no slipping?..if so then you are probably good. You're the one responsible, if you think it's not safe then change it. All you kids need to get out of the Obama thaught pattern and make decisions for your self.

excellent video and thankyou for the video....with that said...if someone needs to be told when to change motorcycle tires, well then maybe they shouldn't be riding at all. Motorcycle riding is 100% commen sense and if that commen sense needs to be taught before they ride, then they are going to be a casualty. Which is going to put more laws on us that have commen sense. So please if you have a MS or Dr. degree Please for all of us DO NOT RIDE A MOTORCYCLE because you have NO COMMEN SENSE!!!

Hey, I have a Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa rear tire and the last 15 mm from the edge of the tire have become slightly blue'ish tire stil has 3-4 mm of thread on it would you consider it still safe to use the tire for normal road riding if i'm going to use the full shoulder of my tire / ride on the blue area?

Thank you! The treads in the middle of my back tire are worn down and gone yet the sides look great. Nothing else is wrong with it. I ride it daily to work Mon-Thurs. Do I need new tires? (Also what is a good back tire for a Ninja 250R 2010?)
