everyone who prefers the m3 is simply a fanboy. the 1M is enjoyed because the driver is completely involved. And The 1M is virtually the same in all performance figures (beat the m3 in hockenheim), which BMW does not want to publicize. I enjoy the sound of big engines as much as anyone (owned an M6 and 650) but the 1M is the closest thing to the E46 m3 which is maybe the truest of M cars. And You will not find a 1M for purchase, m3s are dime a dozen
